On Saturday, September 30, the Kingsley Marching Stags traveled to Kenowa Hills High School for their first marching competition.
"The goal of the contest, much like Festival, is to gain knowledge to improve our overall performance," band director Lance Dubay said in a letter to parents and students. "Students represent not only our school but our community and our program as a whole."
The Marching Stags earned 3rd place in music and 4th place overall in their class.
Director Dubay says most of the competition was twice the size of KHS and had twice the budget, so he is extra excited to bring home another trophy for the case. Way to go, band!
