February Interviews

Nicole Wazny - Food Services 

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

Cooking, country concerts, kayaking. 

What do you love about Kingsley?

It's my home town. I was born and raised here and I love everything about Kingsley. 

What’s one fun fact about you?

I am a part of the community band.

What is a dream or goal you have?

Wake up on the ocean.

What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

I've worked here for 8 years and I love supporting the kids in singing, band, and the arts.

Student Ava Baker

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

Some of my interests are singing, doing sports and hanging outside.

What do you love about Kingsley?

I love how the community is all there for each other.

What’s one fun fact about you?

I really like to sing karaoke and I sung karaoke in Florida and earned $13.

What is a dream or goal you have?

A dream I have is when I get older I want to become a vet.

What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

I really like to play sports and I really am proud to represent Kingsley on the softball, soccer, and volleyball teams.

March Interviews

Wendy Sterk - Librarian 

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

Reading, backpacking, gardening. 

What do you love about Kingsley?

The students.

What’s one fun fact about you?

I am a part of the community band.

What is a dream or goal you have?

For this year, to complete the Hike 100 (hiking 100 miles on the North Michigan trail from January to December).

What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”

Student Luke Acre

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

I like to play sports like basketball, baseball and football, go skiing.

What do you love about Kingsley?

I love the teachers and overall the education.

What’s one fun fact about you?

I have a hearing aid.

What is a dream or goal you have?

To make it to college in one sport.

What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

That they are very welcoming and that it's just a very good overall environment.

April Interviews

Brittany Moen - KMS Secretary

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

I read a lot I love to read and go outside and play with my dogs and my son.

What do you love about Kingsley?

I love the kids and all of the things I do every day in my job.

What’s one fun fact about you?

I was a martial artist for fourteen years.

What is a dream or goal you have?

To have a huge flower garden that I can sit in and read in all day.

Student Rocky Curtiss

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

Sports like football and wrestling.

What do you love about Kingsley?

Their sports programs and that everyone is super nice.

What’s one fun fact about you?

I play five sports.

What is a dream or goal you have?

To make it to college football.

What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

I have two good friends, Luke Acre and Logan Swinehart.
