Kingsley Youth Wrestling offers several programs for K-8. Also available is the middle school program for grades 6-8 that is school-based.
K-5: Elementary / Beginner Wrestling
There will be a camp for elementary and beginner wrestlers that will run in December for 3 weeks and will be completed before the holiday break. The target athletes for this group will be boys and girls with limited experience in wrestling who want to give wrestling a look. The goal of this group will be to practice two nights a week and compete at two events before the quick season is completed. The coaches of this group will be volunteers and will instruct on the foundational aspects of wrestling.
Expect first practice on Monday, December 4 at 6:00PM at Kingsley High School running two nights per week until break. There will be opportunities after break for wrestlers to stay on and wrestle in the MyWay Novice tournaments. This will be a great opportunity for werstlers to wrestle in the same tournaments as the advanced group and prepare them for that. Another opportunity for this age group will again run from February to March, more information on the second elementary program will be released after break.

6-8 Middle School Wrestling
Kingsley offers middle school wrestling for grades 6-8, no participation fee and transportation is provided. Practice starts January 3 at the middle school gym from 3:30PM-5:00PM. Competition starts in February and will conclude in mid-March. All levels of experience and ability are welcome. This program will focus on skill development and gaining the appreciation for the sport of wrestling along with teamwork and individual growth.

K-8: Travel/Advanced Club (2 years experience recommended)
This program is advanced. It is recommended that the wrestlers in this club have 2 years of experience but it's not required, it is under the discretion of the parents. Practices will begin the week of December 11th and go every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday through the end of March from 5:30-7:00PM at the high school. Wrestling meets will be on Saturdays and Sundays and we participate in 2 different affiliations: NEMWA and MYWAY, club fee and registration will be the first day of practice on December 11.
What to expect:
Focused and strong work ethic
Multiple practices weekly
Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated
All practices are closed; this allows coaches to keep the kids focused
Practices are well structured and will include intense conditioning and drilling
Wrestlers must conduct themselves in a mature and respectful manner on and off the mat
Parents/wrestlers will be expected to sign a code of conduct before practices begin
Registration/club fee cost: $100 non-refundable
NEMWA/MYWAY fee: $20 MYWAY, $20 NEMWA
